First contact will trigger the initial assessment process, ask for your agreement to assessment, and treatment. We provide you with a free no obligation get to know you session this session allows you to meet your worker, and give a brief outline of your story. At this initial meeting we will evaluate the initial assessment forms sent to you. We will agree a treatment plan, if you feel happy with continuing and schedule a further appointment.
You will have access to our system where you can make change and cancel your appointment, and monitor your progress through viewing your progress notes and assessments.
Therapy is a is a collaborative treatment based on the relationship between an individual and a worker. The qualified worker provides a supportive environment that allows patients to talk openly with someone who is objective, neutral, and nonjudgmental.
We offer therapy in a number of ways that will suit you, Zoom consultations, face to face in our local office, and telephone support. (Telephone support is provided for clients who are suffering acute distress.)
Therapy is normally conducted as individual sessions, with a defined agenda, and individual goals along with work to be completed between sessions. We also provide group therapies, to support individuals with similar issues. Group therapy is suitable for a number of situations, including Grief, Social Skills, Bipolar Disorder, Depression, and Substance and alcohol disorders, along with many more situation that can benefit from peer support.
Therapy requires that you are willing to honestly share your story, either individually or within a group, be prepared for challenges of distorted thinking, open to learning new techniques to deal with issues, and have fun in the process of learning.
ABOUT OUR APPROACH
How We Can Help
Since 1998, I’ve been a trusted partner for my clients in order to help them achieve healthy and balanced personal lives and relationships. As a Registered Mental Health Nurse, I’m deeply committed to being there when you need me most—helping you explore, heal, and move forward into a happy and healthy mindset. Get in touch to book a session with me today!
Firstly even before meeting you we will ask you to complete an assessment form, which outlines what you feel the issue is you need to tackle, after reviewing your assessment we will meet either face-to-face or via video conference (each video conference has a unique reference number to join) which will be sent to you prior to the session. During the get to-know-session, we will discuss, your assessment, and create a working treatment plan if you feel comfortable with progressing.
You will be registered on a system where your notes are created, and held, and you have access to 24 hours a day. You can also make amend or cancel appointments . No one else has access to your data, and the Portal is HIPAA compliant and certified, and you will be given a link for you to log-in and manage your personal details etc. At our initial meeting we will arrange another appointment if you are comfortable, where we discuss your assessment in more details, and continue with the agreed plan.
